Shortlisted for the 2023 Yugo BAFTA Student Awards, The In Between brought audiences into a space we all pass through but rarely stop to understand. A quiet threshold where the mind drifts in its final moments of consciousness.

Created by the Texas Immersive Institute at The University of Texas at Austin, this experience blended storytelling, audience interaction, and emerging technology to explore love, the universe, nothingness, and the self in deeply personal ways.

Designed as a space free of fear, it invited reflection instead of answers. Not an ending, but a passage we could finally sit with.
