Ana Mo Shoshin | TBR Spin Reading Vlog | Spin 6 June 2023 | Fantastic Museums, Parasitic Fungi, Human Horns @AnaMoShoshin | Uploaded July 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Hi, I’m Mo.
We have finally come to our first nonfiction read for TBR spin 2023! I was super excited to pick up this month's Book: Mr Wilson's Cabinet of Wonders. I was delighted reading this book and how it reminded me of places that I have seen, magical feelings I have felt and places that I still wish to go. I really loved the intersection of art, science, innovation, and history. If you like oddities, historic exhibits, curio cabinets, or things like that, I would suggest picking up this book!
If you would like to learn more about The Museum of Jurassic Technology here are some links I found:
mjt.org
Wikipedia - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum_of_Jurassic_Technology
And other museums mentioned:
Mütter Museum - muttermuseum.org
Salt and Pepper Museum - thesaltandpeppershakermuseum.com
(Brooklyn) The City Reliquary - cityreliquary.org
I couldn't find any left over site for the Velvet Elvis Museum.
I also couldn't find anything about the old McSweeny's but I forgot they have a new (as of like 10 years ago) shop in Brooklyn, which is a Super Hero Shop - superherosupplies.com
What's the "weirdest", most unique, museum you've visited?
Are you playing TBR spin this year? What book did you read for June?
The rules for TBR Spin are simple! In Jan we pick 12 books and each month one of the two hosts will spin a wheel to help us pick what books to read from our stacks for that month. The wheel has different prompts, no prompts will be repeated, and we don't know in advance what the prompts are! If you're starting this game later in the year just start your stack with the appropriate amount of books (11 for Feb, 10 for March, 9 for April and so on...) and watch the prompt video for that month. Join any time! I vlog all my TBR Spin books and pick the next months book at the end of each vlog.
