Taxi drivers worldwide are hit hard by the corona crisis. Since the success of the Uber app and other 'ride share' services such as Lyft, many of them are driving around on a self-employed basis.
Seven independent taxi drivers from Amsterdam, Rio de Janeiro, Wuhan, Tehran, Kisumu, Tel Aviv and New York take us into their world during and after corona.
The drivers have often made large investments. Not only do they lose their income and absorb the economic blows, but if customers do join, the drivers run a greater risk of infection.
