Tawny Owl, Call from both male and female owls

This is one of the most common owls in Europe. The male and female looks the same but the female are slightly larger. They are calling mostly during darkness, and especially during late winter and early spring. The male call in the video is typical for the breeding season. Sometimes the male use a similar call as the female, and this call might be heard all seasons

Female call is recorded 28/02/2019 Kungshamn-Morga, Knivsta, Sweden

Male call is recorded 01/03/2019 Funbo, Uppsala, Sweden
