About a week ago I posted a general overview video of the Taurus Judge Poly, and @Chopperfreak69 posted the following comment:
"Is it possible that you can do another video on this weapon using a standard blue silhouette (coke bottle) target, and using a max distance of 21 feet which is 7 yrds. I am a retired LEO and the average personal firefight distance is within 21 feet; so I am looking for a video that is based on that yardage and closer. The distance can actually be even closer in a home defense situation which is what that weapon is made for. Thanks!"
So, in this video I take the Taurus Judge Public Defender Poly back out to the range to see how it might pattern according to the above comment. I wasn't able to find a blue "coke bottle" silhouette target, so I made my own and printed it out on legal sized paper. If you like the target, I will make it available for free download at davidspassage.com as a pdf.
Overall I am confident that this would be a great gun for personal protection and home defense. Although it's a little big for a concealed carry / CCP / CPL, it is very lightweight and will be great for backpacking (why I bought the gun). The polymer shell also makes it much more maintenance free.
