A very short tatting video of me tatting at normal speed, to show what it looks like - THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS. But if you'd like some and would like to find out more about the method I use here, please see my other video: "Shuttle Tatting for Beginners". The lace I am working on is a doily designed by Jan Stawasz.

There many different ways and methods to make the movements that produce the stitches. There are even variations in the way tatters tat when using the same method (as in the "slip-and-slide" used here). I experimented with the way I held the thread and manoeuvered it whilst making my stitches until I found what was most comfortable and most efficient for me. And I'm still looking for ways to increase speed without loosing precision!
