Africa Everyday | Tasting Potatoes for the First Time ('Irish Potatoes' vs 'Sweet Potatoes') @africa_everyday | Uploaded March 2022 | Updated October 2024, 40 minutes ago.
This might seem confusing, but I have never cooked and eaten potatoes. I have eaten things made from potato, but never eaten the vegetable on its own - and this is probably made more confusing by 'potatoes' in Nigeria being the thing that other parts of the world call 'sweet potato'. I have never cooked and eaten Irish Potatoes (which are the thing those other parts of the world just call 'potato').
