late hanging apples like Lady Williams, Pink Parfait, Katherine, Whitwick Pippin, Pomo Sanel, Granny Smith and Pink Lady are a very welcome phenomenon in the deep winter. Many apples will keep, but few will keep the level of quality possessed by a fresh fruit off of the tree.
