My son Zakk was having a look through my CD's and found a few cool things I'd forgot about adding to my collection on here! He wanted to hear it as well! This is a recording (hope you like the title btw! ;) of me playing these great Deep Purple songs, but on a Les Paul guitar! I did this a few times, testing it out but then stayed with the strat for all our gigs. Yep, as you will hear it is a battle to keep this guitar in tune at times! It's my red one and it's in some of my live videos, same problem there! It's a great guitar otherwise....HEAVY though! It's kinda of cool to hear again as there is a real difference in the sound at times!
This from The Mill in Banbury, though at a practice session where it was recorded live like a gig by Neil. We were getting warmed up to do more gigs at the time! The good news - it has all the practice stuff included ;) So you'll hear the little mistakes here and there...but makes it more interesting! Deep Purple were always live and real anyway ;)
Cool to now have a version of 'Pictures Of Home', 'Perfect Strangers' and 'Into The Fire' on here!
Probably best to listen with headphones for a better sound, as the mix/volume changes at times ('lazy' is one) and it's not so clear. I enjoyed having a listen yesterday and there is some great playing and vocals 🤟 Please enjoy if you check it out! Times for tracks are included below!
