Asian American Writers Workshop | Taste Makers: Mayukh Sen & Monique Truong @AAWWNYC | Uploaded January 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Join us in celebration Mayukh Sen’s new book, Taste Makers: Seven Immigrant Women Who Revolutionized Food in America. In Taste Makers, Mayukh brings forward the stories of seven immigrant women whose legacies are complicated and often erased, despite their deep global influence in food. Their histories unwrap, layer by layer, revealing experiences of food, labor, immigration and gender. Mayukh is joined in conversation by novelist Monique Truong.
