My TASCAM Model 12 Future (1.50) Feature Request List (in no particular order of priority):
- Add PC USB Return choice also to Channels 7/8 on top of Main Bus and Channels 9/10.
- Enable SUB bus Outputs in DAW Mode. Or, additional DAW USB Return direct to SUB Bus Output. This can be used for separate Cue Mix, Control Room or Headphone Mix.
- Able to assign an extra USB return to the SUB fader. Then you would have a fader and a mute button.
- In DAW Mode, disable CH 1 & 2 Compressor and EQ affecting the audio return when mixing.
- In DAW Mode, add MIDI CC to all channel Comp and EQ knobs, so they can be assigned to any automation in the DAW.
- Add a simple software Limiter on the main bus. Able to set Off/On, Ceiling, Threshold, Attack and Release times. Display Gain Reduction levels on screen.
- Export CH 11/12 to also in MP3 format.
- Add MTR recording track layers and able to switch to any previously recorded layer. Option to record over or layer (global).
- Develop a PC/MacOS software that allows one to edit all the settings available on the tiny screen (An example is BOSS Gigcaster 8). Even my old Yamaha AG03 USB Mixer has this option. Time for TASCAM to move along with technology and times.
