The previous video by Adeal (youtu.be/VWd6k4LPMfo ) lured two koopas to reach the secrets on the lowest two platforms. I improved on that with some reasonably advanced movement through the higher pillars near the center. The second secret was pretty straightforward, the first one used an Eru drop and a pause buffered divegrind facing quite a bit off the edge.

I accidentally put 1-2 firsties into this TAS but theyre definitely not needed. I would have rather not put them in, but redoing the later parts would have been too much effort.
This video is an improvement over a much lower quality TAS I had made of this star: https://youtu.be/_zlnwaBBlzg . Since then, I obsoleted the firsty chain for the first red, and I used frame advance and Stroop the whole way through.
The key breakthrough in this video is the jump at 0:39, which was previously thought to barely not reach the ledge, resulting in 11-13 firsties and a second blue spire being required.
Let me describe to you how precise this jump is:
1. In order to gain enough speed without losing too much height, we need to land directly on the downhill slope at the back of the spire. Since the slope of the spire is steeper than Marios falling trajectory, this requires us to clip through the uphill slope via quarterframe spacing and is precise to about 1 unit in the x direction.
2. In order to end up with enough height, we need to land on the highest 4x4 unit square of the downhill slope.
3. In order to get enough distance, we need to move the joystick during the sliding frames to a roughly degree-perfect, or at a fixed magnitude bit-perfect joystick angle (curving the joystick in a different way should be possible, but being an average of 1 input bit off will probably cause you to end up with the wrong angle and not making it). Then for the jump, you need to flick the joystick back to directly forward.
4. This didnt occur in my first proof of concept of this jump, but in the final TAS I had to move the joystick slightly to the right on the last 2 frames. Moving it too far will definitely also cause you to miss the ledgegrab.
5. It is still not explored whether quarterframe spacing on the wall lip makes this trick even more precise than I described it, requiring slight adjustments after the slopejump based on spacing nuances that are impossible to notice without TAS.
6. In order to gain enough speed in a tight space like this without a chain longjump (which would have been a nightmare to work into a precise non-TAS setup), I had to hit a decent 47.x trick, which is also hard to incorporate into a precise setup for non-TAS. The best method I could find was a frame-perfect punch cancel into a frame-perfect longjump to get 47.85 speed, which is more than what any lower starting speed could produce in the same number of frames.
7. The camera is not normalized, so I basically had to do this with trial and error even after already solving a hackless proof of concept. I can only imagine how insane it would be to do this with only savestates, let alone without.
8. Any setup for the near unit-perfect starting position will have to be done very rapidly because *theres a heave-ho*.
Anything else in this TAS is easier by orders of magnitude. The blind spire jump to the red past green garden? Yeah its tough, and even with a camera setup itd be tough, but its nowhere near this difficult. The spires after the 5th and the 8th red? Mere eye-catchers. The forward sideflip on the blue castle path? Literally free. This is still a pretty difficult challenge even without the insanely precise jump at 0:39, but it pales in comparison.")

Instructions:
- Start walking forward.
- Using a pause buffer, turn right for 2 frames.
- Using jumpkicks to conserve your angle, make your way to the back corner of the doorframe.
- Turn the camera back to where it started.
- Jump.
- As youre landing, start holding right (4 frame window).
- Doublejump and pause on the 6th frame *[frame-perfect].*
- Hold forward, then unpause with A.
- Pause again on the frame before landing *[frame-perfect].*
- Hold left, then unpause and immediately press C-left and A *[frame-perfect].*
- Pause on the last frame before hitting the corner *[frame-perfect].*
- Hold slightly upleft *[roughly 5° range],* then press A (3+ frame window).
- Release the joystick and press C-right (not precise).
- At the peak of your wallkick, flick right and pause (not precise).
- Hold forward, then unpause and press C-right and A (3+ frame window).
- Just before hitting the ground, groundpound (3+ frame window, 4+ if your other inputs were excellent).

Too hard for me to try this RTA so I did it with savestates and at 60% speed. This only differs from drunkrazys route between 1:12 and 2:37, and even there it is based on his 182 star route.

I added this combo into my 115 star route because there are many fast stars that Im less confident in. When actually executing the combo, it was faster than I expected, so I decided to make an idealrun of it to analyze whether it could be implemented into even a WR-level 115 star run.
Obviously since this was done with frame advance and savestates, it is likely infeasible to match. Still, if a top-level runner could reliably do this combo in just over 4 minutes, it might just make the cut. Remember that a 100c combo collects 2 stars while only having 1 reentry rather than 2.")
