English : This TAS is 6 frames faster than MKDasher's TAS. The improvement is by facing the firsts longjumps a bit more to the right, so then the direction is reset, and i can turn istantly yoshi's head.
Explanation of the glitchy longjumps : All the speed numbers I'll use are for Yoshi : A glitchy LJ is when you do a longjump and have high speeed without facing the way you want to go. The max speed of a longjump is 196560 (after decreasing the speed from the longjump). If you press a direction that will make yoshi turn quickly for 2 frames or higher, then you can press a direction that allows you to go at high speed. And you have to find (with the touchscreen) the direction that makes you going at 196560 because there are some directions that makes you going at 196464 or even slower.

Previously, this star was done in 4 B Presses due to the needed jump on the twhomp.
The improvement is ridiculous, but the strat in itself is good. First, 1 B Press is needed to get on the cogs as there is not any other way for now to get up there without a B Press. This B Press is held for a long time, because i need to do a high flutter jump on a goomba.
I take the goomba in my mouth, then release it when the timing is right for the block to rotate.
The 3rd B Press is not avoidable, as there is no way to get onto the rotating platforms. And the last part is easy : you can do a heavens portal like in the endless stairs skip. i wish we could do a heavens portal in another place, but sadfully I spent hours on searching and I didnt find yet any other place to heavens portal than those 2 corners at the top.

This is an improvement compared to the previous video where I completed this level in 1.5x B Presses. Arne easily figured out it could be possible to get up without an additionnal flutter by using the little hill.

This video is a TAS. I needed to make a TAS of this star because we (the team of TASers working on the 150 stars TAS which are me, Really_Tall, Migu and Adeal) were trying to figure out if a different route unlocking Wario before Luigi could be faster, since it would allow us to complete Big Boos Haunt in only 1 trip as Mario instead of 2 trips before (1 as Mario and 1 as Luigi later). This meant that BBH switch star needs to be done as Mario instead of Luigi, which we originally thought would lose time because Luigi can go right through the grate next to the switch star twice thanks to his invisibility power. It turns out that getting Out of Bounds as Mario after clipping inside the black brick and getting to the switch star is so fast that its even 0.5s faster than using Luigi !
After succesfully comparing both Wario late and Wario early routes, it turned out that the Wario early route saves more than 10 seconds, which means that the 150 stars TAS route sheet got changed (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/1ZQYTkPwaL9AXUFAvYo9ulFZ1e8MpDmJwATpNOhXMZas/pubhtml). The amazing thing about this new route is that we will collect many stars on the 2nd floor while not even having 30 stars. Also, skipping the 12 star text box is now possible thanks to a convenient star cancel, which wasnt possible in the old route because we were doing Whomps Fortress at that point.
As for the star itself in this video, you normally need to be Wario to be able to punch the black brick and reveal the ! switch, but with a precise camera glitch and a jump followed by a ground pound, its possible to unload the brick for a few frames and go right through (getting inside the brick instead of being clipped out right away was found by PolishedGrain). Since the ! switch is already inside, the star appears. After that, I get Out of Bounds by running into the wall corner with a precise angle, and redirect myself to be able to kick and get on the seam. Then, I need to run for a bit before I can make a long jump without bonking on the wall. Surprisingly, the merry-go-round area is already loaded, which is usually never the case for rooms you havent entered by their doors.
About the 150 stars TAS, since this new route unlocking Wario early in the game is confirmed to be much faster, and that there arent any other route ideas right now, the progress of the 150 stars TAS can resume, but slowly for now since Im having exams this year, and the other people in the team also have other stuff to do, which means the progress wont be too fast right now. But apart from that, Im really happy that the route only got crazier and crazier over the time, which will only make the TAS more entertaining.

Loool this strat is so ridiculous compared to the 1.0 only strat which required a very hard strategy to build up. I just reminded abou that trick I posted on my channel a long time ago. A dive with less than 64K speed wont make you bonk. And since a dive gives some positive vertical speed, well I was able to reach the top with 4 wallkicks (in before, we saw that just wallkicking 4 times wasnt enough to reach the star platform). Diving might be useful for some other stars in the B Button challenge.

This autoscroller skip is possible in RTA too. At the time this video is out, Im figuring out the visual cues needed for it. It saves about 1 minute and 40 seconds if done succesfully.
Explanation :
At first, J_duude found that you could stay on a floor when the autorscroller goes down, and then fall back down when it scrolls to the left. He theorized that it could be probably possible to skip one of the triggers but staying high with precise jumps (such as over gaps and lava pools). Then I took the challenge to try to perform this and see if it could let us to skip the last trigger. It turns out that its possible, and saves 1 minute and 40 seconds over triggering the last autoscroller if done correctly. I will be making another video soon to explain the cues.

In before, this star was done in 24 B Presses by using 1 Luigi Backflip and 23 Balloon Jumps.

With the new glitch, I was able to climb up the big wall with backflips and wallkicks in only 8 B Presses instead of 23 !!!
I was also able to land on the top with a frame-perfect backwards dive.
It might be useful for TTC Stomp on the Twhomp, but thats all. Also, it might be useful in TAS, probably for Get a Hand or Blast Away The Wall.
