This is a snippet from the upcoming tool-assisted speedrun for Hollow Knight in the category Ghostbusters. The arenas are definitely where TAS most struggles with not having VS, since it's challenging to get damage on multiple enemies at once with only nail. Fury helps, but it's still nail0, so it takes quite a few nail swings to kill enemies. On the plus side, though, TAS gets to abuse dashmaster like crazy and weave in frame-perfect nail hits between dashes.

At this point in the run, were way over-equipped for False Knight, since were only fighting him to get access to Failed Champion. Still, its not trivial, thanks to the real boss of this fight, the geo swarm. TAS needs to be very careful not to catch any geo while casting spells and unable to move.")

This is a clip from the latest TAS Im working on, which is for Ghostbusters. For those not familiar with the run, the goal is to banish all overworld ghosts. TAS here is doing a perfectly normal and not at all impossible early game, skipping VS and killing the Baldur with only fury while their shade chills over by Salubra.

This category has some interesting complications that make it especially challenging; namely, we dont have access to either cdash or wings, but we still need to grab shade cloak. One segment thats particularly fun to do without wings is the lighthouse climb, which TAS does by getting a little help from the siblings.")
