In this walk-through and unboxing, I explore this extraordinary 83-card tarot deck inspired by the mystical artwork of Odilon Redon. We’ll take a close look at the card stock, gold gilt edging, packaging, and the beautiful 200-page full-colour guidebook, as well as those intriguing additional auxiliary cards, The Chimera, Muse, Loci, Trickster and Imagination.
Redon’s surreal, otherworldly imagery brings a psychological and dreamlike quality to the traditional tarot structure, making this a deck that feels both archetypal and deeply imaginative. I share my thoughts on the deck, book, packing, as well as who it might suit, and whether it leans more towards intuitive, shadow-work exploration or structured tarot practice.
