Finally there's a point to the episode numbers. So anyway, I know nothing about mystic quest so can't say anything about it.
Had the chance to play tactics in my childhood when I barely understood English, the story and mechanics obviously went over my head. At some point later I did finish it, the game is still brutally hard and the story would probably be a mess for anyone younger than 20... but the soundtrack is nice.

Was busy and forgot to publish it yesterday.
So this game, the start and the end are in general amazing, maybe the middle not so much. The true plot comes in so late that theres no time to understand it, and then you find out that the game wants you to do new game+ multiple times. Theres just too many characters, stories and side content that literally doesnt fit on the free time between missions.
But having an open overworld was nice after many games without it.

Of all the things I can do at the same time AIsaac is running, emulating a wii is not one of them, so Ive been holding on the episodes I already have.
Well see. For now, this is as typical as an RPG can get.
That one cutscene was a video of an in-engine cutscene, no idea why but theres a few and now it looks weird.

Not much to say for this first one, went back to upscale textures, some look horrible, the usual.

Now THIS was my childhood... constantly repeating the intro and never getting out of disc 1 because the console wasnt mine and they wouldnt let me use the memory cards.
After that Ive completed it maybe 6 or 7 times, the story is fine but the character development is horrendous, at some point the party just becomes a single entity and their development is having flashbacks in group (minus Rinoa). The best character development is Lagunas party somehow.
But I love the rest, the FMVs, the combat, the cards and the cheese, the soundtrack, the junction system (really).

Its my birthday so Ill be talking shit about FF7 today...
It wasnt my childhood game so eh, I did eventually finish it once but aside from the characters, the story was just meh. The best about FF7 is all the side content, the movie is pure hype, crisis core is amazing, the remakes(?), cant really care about the base game after all that.
