I think I already said everything I had to about ff10 when I played that one. About the soundtrack, the good songs are down in the Field Music, asides from "Otherworld" all the battle music is meh.
Also, I'll keep Chaos in the party, so I "fixed" his battle sprites but there's some jank in there.

.hack is a peculiar universe full of trauma, split among novels, animation, games where they recycle character designs again and again. It was probably influenced by something like Diablo 2 multiplayer experience. Even for the time the games feel... experimental? The gameplay can be painfully dull and hard and its so, so grindy, but the story is nice.

I literally cut the vault grind but somehow its still 8 minutes.
Well, its 50% dialogue and 50% side quests anyway, with horribly difficult boss fights sprinkled around.

So ff5, one of the more forgettable ones, kinda. I remember the party members but Bartz and the overall plot is a fog in my memory.
I should change the sound for the hold notes, but everything is not unlocked yet.

These are 80% cutscenes and 20% gameplay, so I might upload them fast but still no promises.
So the upscale, the last time I did anime portraits was back in Stella Glow, I was constantly fixing those but this time I could get better quality from the start.
Then theres the pixel art, theres no perfect answer to upscale that. I couldve left them alone but it still looked blurry on high resolution, or maybe just scaled the pixels so they were perfectly sharp, but I liked how it looked like this so I chose it.

Just noticed that the file got corrupted and the last 10 minutes are gone.
Tried to recover the file but I couldnt. Would need to replay the game just to get that footage. It annoys me but not enough to do it, as long as its not heavily requested.
So the summary of the missing stuff is, they captured the pink little sister, lets ask Hosea to free her, we find Ryfia there again but shes not allowed to talk to Hosea. Everyone tells Larc to invite her again in the party and she joins again because they want to do something as them and not as Diva or Child of Easa. The End.

All these preemptive attacks look nice and everything, but the chance to get them is like 20%, I feel that stats or level might change that but who knows. And the few info about this game online says that you have to walk into the enemy from behind to get them, which is total bs.

Back again, ps2 games are still a pain to record without desync so heres a 3ds game that ended up having desync problems... this one looks like itll be long.
The two big things, no schedule so next episode will be up when its done.
Might have many things to comment about the upscale, for now Ill just say I fought for a while trying to find the font or a similar one, even tried to draw it but it looked like crap, so I just used the bravely font that I already had on hand, literally doesnt fit but you can read, so thats enough for me.
