TJBChris | Tandy 4825 SX - CD-ROM Drive Replacement - Everything Goes Wrong @TJBChris | Uploaded March 2022 | Updated October 2024, 17 hours ago.
Watch everything go wrong as my Tandy 4825 SX gets a new IDE CD-ROM drive to replace the failed 2X Creative drive. I try to use the IDE interface that's integrated into my SoundBlaster 32 (CT-3930) card without success. After many tries, I give up, go with Plan A (using the Tandy's single drive controller for both the CD-ROM and hard disk), and finally get it working in MS-DOS, Windows 95, and OS/2 Warp 3.
Please note: I swear more than usual, mostly later in the video. Also, I apologize for the screen flicker in the at points during my tests.
