We started out building tandem tripping canoes in the back of the Algonquin Outfitters property in 1984. Back then, it was just a small resin shack and a handful of employees figuring out how to make the best canoes possible for trippers headed into Algonquin. Since then a lot has changed, but the heart of our passion has always been for tried and true backcountry trippers.
