This is something that should have been included in the original review of the Novice-I but it somehow escaped me that a beginner could easily adjust the rates using the Betaflight OSD and stick commands. I credit Albert Kim's video for jogging my memory! Anyhoo it turns out that just turning the Super Rate down in the Rate menu made the model much more flyable with the stock TX and should be considered standard practice for any beginner. They can then easily adjust this value to their skill level.
