Here's a quick video showing some of what I've been up to the past couple of days. Nothing too exciting, but a video to post none the less! lol I wanted to fly the 250g Talon and Dart out along the same path to a point two miles out and compare the video signal quality. I have the same AKK X2 Ultimate in both, but the Talon's vTX didn't seem to perform as good as I remember the one in the Dart was. Having flown them both back to back now, it seems they're pretty close to the same. I guess it's just the crazy high levels of humidity down here right now, and a quick reminder of why I never liked flying 5.8GHz... lol I was using a triple feed patch array on the receiver, roughly 14db gain. I'd expect video to be near perfect at two miles, though it was getting a bit grainy already. In the winter months when air is dry here, I can fly quite a bit farther. I've been out more than 3 miles with the Dart 250 with a lower gain antenna on the receiver with perfect video. Anyway, fun stuff either way! On a positive note, both transmitters run nice and cool with the heat sinks I added recently.
