In 1994, Andrew Plotkin - sometimes known as Zarf - wrote a fantastic homage to Cliff Johnson's seminal puzzle games Fool's Errand and 3 in Three. System's Twilight was sharp, fun, clever, and had an extremely unique narrative voice. In this hour-long conversation Pete plays through the start of the game and discusses its development with Andrew. We also touch on other topics, notable interactive fiction and how it is still staying alive in the 2020s.
