1 - Simple Present Tense (Geniş Zaman): Learners often confuse simple present and present continuous tenses due to their Turkish names. In Turkish tense system, the Simple Present Tense isn’t considered a present tense. It referred to as “Geniş Zaman”, literally “Broad Time”. Meanwhile, present continuous tense is simply referred to as “Şimdiki Zaman”, literally “Present Time”.
