Caitlin Doughty's memoir breathes life into death in a way I never thought could be possible. She not only tells you the truth, she makes it FUNNY and fun in the most respectful way. As she takes you through her life and every twist and turn she went through to get where she is today. How a corpse is cremated or embalmed to the CARZY colors a corpse can turn once it starts to decay. I can't say enough that I learned a lot from this book and I also laughed a lot!
I personally have seen/ handled/cared for the formally leaving and also taken them to the M.E. office. I've smelled the smells she spoken about and seen a few of the things she wrote about so it was really cool to learn more about a world I barely dipped my toes in.
