Good Morning! I wanted to talk story with all of you this morning to talk about the Hapalua Half Marathon Experience.
I know many of you were waiting to hear from me about how I felt during and after this race. My body ached but I was very glad that it didn't ache THAT bad. It hurt, but the pain wasn't THAT bad.
It's like giving birth. After you experience the first birth and you tell yourself never EVER again. You go and have 3 more LOL! The pain was unbearable at the time but once you're recovered and survived it, what's another one? ha!
Thank you all so very much for all the words of encouragement, the messages, the comments, the love. It may have appeared that I wasn't seeing them or paying attention to them at the time, but I was. I saw you all. I just needed to see it and keep moving forward and not distract myself too much. So thank you!
We did it!
If you want to see on a map the last final miles that was the most difficult, this article talks about it. It's the last of 4 of the routes listed. Don't let that simple "circle" fool you, the hills were steep.
