Firefly

I saw a firefly in the woods,
A tiny fallen star on the ground.
I crouched down to look closer, and the earth told me
(Who have never seen enough fireflies
To light up the darkness;
For whom even the faintest living glow is a wonder),
The earth told me,
"Your children will not witness a single firefly,
Not even one such starlike gravestone,
Shining between felled tree stumps,
A glimmer in the thicket of the fear of losing me."

the site-specific vocal participatory promenade 'A Message from Gaia' is a new project commissioned by the Loud Foundation and premiered in the framework of the International Arts Festival Regarding Goddesses 2021-2022 in Tel Aviv.
The project was realized in a partnership with Old Jaffa Development Company, the Ganei Yehoshua Company (Park Ha'Yarkon) and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance
