Towed behind a boat, the wakeboarder first takes advantage of the boat’s speed to lift the hydrofoil attached to his wakeboard and fly above the water. In a second step, the rider comes closer to the boat to take advantage of the energy of the wave he creates as he moves forward. Then, he stands just before the wave’s breaking zone until he feels that the wave makes his hydrofoil flies, the rider releases the rudder.
