Today is my birthday, and as my gift to you, I thought I would offer a video of how I take a drawing from my sketchbook to a full acrylic painting in my art journal. I started by taking a photo of the sketch and printed it from my inkjet printer. I traced the sketch on my lightbox using a charcoal pencil. I placed the tracing on my substrate and rubbed over it to transfer the image to my painting paper. Then I painted it in acrylics and added some charcoal, Posca pen, and pastel for details and embellishment. After the tracing instructions, I sped the painting portion up, creating a speed painting for you so you can watch the process without boredom! Enjoy!
