This weekend Willow and I went to our first show, and placed in almost all of our classes.
We even did 2 jump courses which is a first for us both!
There are no words to express how proud I am of him. I wasn't sure how he would handle the environment or being asked to jump a course, but he absolutely exceeded my expectations. In our biggest jump course he came in 3rd out of 8 riders! He listened to me and he trusted me and he gave me 110%, no questions asked. He was brave and willing and he gave me nothing but the best. I've been waiting for 6 years for a day like this and he made all of my dreams come true. It was easily one of the best days of my life, I'll never forget it.
When we first started together he had no reason to trust me, we had so many bad days and I always felt so in over my head. But this horse has always known what I need, and he has always been so selfless and giving. He has taught me so much and I owe him the world. He will never owe me anything. After injuring himself last year, it was only a dream that we would ever get to do something like this. From his first jump back after recovery to yesterday, he has come on leaps and bounds.
ML Tenacious, you are one in a million. My heart horse without a doubt. Thank you for your tenacity and your giant heart, there will never be another like you.
