Acts 23:11–35 | Take Courage
What happens when the circumstances around us seem to threaten everything we thought God was doing?
In Acts 23, more than forty men conspire to kill Paul. Yet before their scheme ever begins, Christ has already stood beside Paul and promised that he will testify in Rome.
In this passage we see that Christ’s promises prevail over the schemes of men, His providence supplies the necessary means, and His purposes cannot be frustrated.
That does not mean Christians are promised safety, ease, or freedom from suffering. Our hope is something far greater: the crucified, risen, and reigning Christ will accomplish everything He has promised.
