The Mercedes-Benz W194 was a successful racer from the 50's. It won the 24H of Le Mans, the Carrera Panamericana and many other significant races. Only ten were ever made and it was succeeded by the 300 SLR. Mercedes-Benz took the gamble and started producing the car that would later be called: 300 SL, or one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
