In this workshop, we explored how we might access our creativity by going into discomfort.
Who is missing from this conversation? What are we missing?
How do we recognize patterns that keep us in the same mindset that led us here?
Through exploring the defining characteristics of this community, we found points of discomfort that can help us question our assumptions. And through inquiry, we arrived at fresh creative ideas and decolonial approaches for taking care of one another and keeping each other safe.
At the end of this workshop, participants hopefully were able to say,
"I now have access to more creativity for having put myself in uncomfortable places."
Heather Luna is a Colombian-USer living in Colombia. She offers trainings around decolonisation, white supremacy culture patterns, language liberation, hope/privilege — all based on her experiences with the cult dynamics in white environmental movements.
