TAILORING IN SOUTHEAST ASIA !
This is the first episode of a long series of videos dedicated to the Southeast Asia sartorial scene in which Hugo and Sonya will share an extensive list of highly curated adresses: tailors, shoemakers, shirt makers and sartorial artisans in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea and Japan.
There are many "legends" in the sartorial world about countries in SE Asia where you could supposedly commission bespoke suits with quality fabric for less than $300 delivered in 48 hours.
Of course this a a fairy tale! For this price, you'll get nothing else but mediocre tailoring with low level fabric (mainly polyester).
However, it is true that this area of the world is becoming, since 5 or 6 years, a great place for sartorial travellers looking for excellent tailoring and shoemaking at a stunning value for money.
Thus Sonya and Hugo decided to take the bull by the horns by travelling to this region in order to visit dozens of artisans and to separate, at last, the wheat from the chaff.
