I need help! What should I do with my tailgate?

I am building a do it yourself stealth truck camper, and I need to do something with my tailgate to make it more user-friendly for camping. I have seen a few products out there for tailgate mats and tailgate covers, but I can’t seem to find the right idea. This truck camper build is part of a video series on the Mr Fred’s DIY YT channel. Let me know what you guys think I should do with the tailgate.
