History lesson, guys, or explainig of some scenes if you don't get it: 60s-70s were really important for gay community. In all time a lot of people were arrested and judged, killed because of who they were and whom they loved. In that years people started to rebel against denial of their rights and organized pride parades.
Also I was inspired after rewatching "Harvey Milk" movie. In edit there's a part of his speech read by Ian McKellen.
