Another wonderfully snowy day here at Nordens Ark, to the delight of the tadjik markhors in the park.
đIn the wild, markhor lives in the western areas of the Himalayas at an altitude of 600 â 3600 meters. The stunning, corkscrew-shaped horns of the males are popular among trophy-hunters and can fetch up to $1,000 a kilo on the black market.
