In recent years we have seen great successes in applying Deep Learning techniques to fundamental problems in science, ranging from Molecular Biology, to Quantum Chemistry/Physics and even in pure Mathematics. In this talk I will share some of the lessons learnt and best practices, based on my experience as one of the initial members of the AlphaFold project at DeepMind, and as a co-founder and CTO at Inductiva Research Labs.
