This conversation is focused around his book called The Nephilim Myth. He argues for what is known as the Sethite view. This is the idea that in Genesis 6 the sons of God are a reference to the children of Seth. They are called the sons of God because they are the righteous line. This is in contrast to the view that it was angels falling in Genesis 6.

Does the Bible Teach a Young Earth?CuriousChristianity2024-09-05 | Here I debate Matt (Apolojedi apolojedi.com) on the topic of "Does the Bible teach that the Earth is young." Here I make the argument that the Bible is agnostic concerning the age of the Earth. The primary argument is that Gen 1:1-2 shows that there is preexisting matter before day one. Matt's arguments largely were focused around the first day of the six days of creation being an absolute beginning with nothing before it. If one follows the genealogy of Adam till today then you can see that the Bible is clear about the age of the Earth. Happy listening.
Here is my post debate review. I debated Apolojedi_ (Matt) The subject of the debate was "Does the Bible Teach An Age of the Earth." Matt argued the affirmative and I argued the negative.
