Here's the best tool to easily remove a stuck injector seal. The best solvent to use is oven cleaner spray/lye/sodium hydroxide drain cleaner, or acetone. Heat is your friend- the heat sensitive carbon goo turns into an epoxy 10 minutes after shutting the engine down.
62 inch lbs. Not foot lbs.
Don't drop anything down the hole like the vinyl bit protecting the tip of a harbor freight bore brush, or the snapped off tip of a pick, or steel bristles from a wire brush, or q-tips.
Speaking of q-tips, get the wooden q-tip kit from harbor freight.
Cut some slots into your old hold down bolt to work as a tap to get the goo out of the hold down hole, flood the hole with solvent, use a straight pic and wooden dowel to make sure the bottom of the hole is shiny. you're not done until it's shiny, because if it's not shiny, there's debris which will prevent your hold down bolt from fully seating, which will prevent your injector from being held fully in place long-term.
Now say it with me. 62 inch pounds. INCH POUNDS. NOT FOOT POUNDS (Or you'll be sorry). 62 INCH POUNDS and then 90° + 90°. Use the cheapo spring type 1/4 inch drive torque wrench from AutoZone. Never a click type torque wrench. The hold down bolt is torque to yield, it must be replaced every time. No lube, no loctite, bolt is pre-treates with the blue stuff.
