The USAF’s T1563 Automated PAL Controller (APC) from the mid-1980s was the first controller to use microprocessor technology and software to perform all Permissive Action Link (PAL) operations on nuclear weapons. It also had data storage and encryption features. Filmed at the US national atomic museum at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque NM USA in 2010.
