Most Excellent London Walk - West Fitzrovia and Cleveland Street Joolz Guides - London History Walks - Travel Films 2021-06-06 | Cleveland Street is one of my favourite streets for some reason. When I walk into the centre of London I always seem to end up going down Cleveland street. It only became officially recorded as Fitzrovia on ordnance survey maps in 1994 and was all fields 250 years ago.In this walk we go to Fitzroy Square where George Bernard Shaw and Virginia Woolf lived. Then we see some charming mewses which were occupied by cabbies and dairy farmers.Then there's Cleveland Street with the invention of morse code and my tailor Paul Kitsaros.This is also the street where the Telecom Tower is and has a history of scandals and communist clubs involving the heir to the throne and Karl Marx. Then there's the lady who sells buttons in Charles Dickens' house and the beautiful Fitzrovia Chapel. Deptford London Walking Tour - Salty Saucey Sailors History Romp Joolz Guides - London History Walks - Travel Films 2020-10-25 | Deptford has now become one of my favourite London walking tours! It was established as a royal naval dockyard by King Henry VIII and has seen innumerable voyages of discovery set sail over the last 350 years. Walk the streets with Joolz where sailors trod. Walk in the footsteps of Sir Francis Drake, Sir Walter Raleigh and Queen Elizabeth I! See where the Jolly Roger pirate flag was born and where the ancient mariner is buried alongside Christopher Marlowe. Samuel Pepys being unfaithful to his wife and the Czar of Russia, Peter the Great, being wheeled around a huge garden in a wheelbarrow! Travels in Turkey - Cappadocia, Troy, Gallipoli, Balloons - Where to go Joolz Guides - London History Walks - Travel Films 2020-10-04 | My Travels in Turkey this year were truly epic including balloon rides, camels and visits to Troy, Gallipoli and underground caves. Turkey is huge so I do my best to cover a large selection of laces to go, and things to do in Turkey in this video. We start in Nevsehir in Cappadocia where you can learn how to be a balloon pilot. We visit the beautiful hotels including Cappadocia Cave Resort and The Selfie Hotel.There is also a jeep safari and classic car ride.We visit the famous underground city built by the Christians to hide from the Romans in cappadocia and crawl through the many caves and incredible rock formations.I also ride on a camel and attend the Turkish International Tourism Film festival.Then I go to Kusadasi and visit the ancient city of Ephesus where St John the Apostle and the Virgin Mary lived.There is the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and the grave of St John. Also the house of the Virgin Mary.Then I go the Canakkale to the Hellespont where Lord Byron swam across and to the ancient city of Troy to see where the Trojan War took place and the grave of Achilles. There's the trojan horse used in the film with Brad Pitt and I go across the Dardanelles to Gallipoli to Anzac Cove. Then it's off to Istanbul.
