Grafana Cloud Synthetic Monitoring helps teams understand how applications and services perform from the perspective of real users.
By simulating user behavior from probe locations around the world, Synthetic Monitoring continuously runs checks against your endpoints to measure availability, performance, and correctness. Each check publishes metrics and logs to Grafana Cloud, enabling fast troubleshooting with familiar dashboards and workflows.
With support for multiple check types—including HTTP, DNS, TCP, traceroute, and k6-powered scripted and browser checks—teams can validate everything from basic uptime to complex user journeys. Global managed probes and self-hosted private probes make it possible to monitor both public-facing and internal services.
Built on open standards like the Prometheus blackbox exporter and Grafana k6, Synthetic Monitoring integrates seamlessly with Grafana Alerting, Terraform, and APIs, making it easy to automate monitoring at scale and identify issues before they impact users.
