You gotta admit, I did this run horribly.
Horrible replex + drunk controlling = this run.
The recording is very laggy. The worst happened at around 26:25 I bombed constantly and it bugged my recording program a bit.
Anyway, I wanted to show you guys a playthrough of Lenen 1 using Suzumi.
And its not as easy as it seems.
Pros:
- Medium range, knives circle around you (very useful for countering enemies from behind)
- Homing shot
- Piecing shot
- Bombs deal massive damage
- Customizable flashbomb time (you can hold X to become invincible until the gauge runs out, though I rarely use it)
Cons:
- Deals very little damage, even at full power
- Slow unfocusing speed
- Knives rings build up rather slow
- Releasing the knives doesnt deal damage worthy to its build up time
Thats my opinion about Suzumi. You can have a different opinion to me, since Im a terrible shmup player anyway.
When I first play this game as Suzumi, it caught me off-guard because the firepower is terrible. I had to constantly press Z to deal constant damage to enemies until I reached the 3.00 power.
Even when maxed out Suzumi still deals very low damage, maybe even lower than that of Yabusame. That makes boss fights a bit tougher.
The bomb is extremely useful to clear out hard attacks. At first I expected it to end attacks instantaneously like in Lenen 4, but here it only deals massive damage I guess.
Homing + Knives rings help you to deal with unforeseen enemies from the back. Piecing shot helps you clear out rows of low-health small-fries. However, dont get too cocky (like me) because tougher enemies still can survive your knives barrier for just enough time to overwhelm you with bullets.
Suzumis low speed is pretty bad against fast attacks. Either that or because I got too used to playing as Tsubakura.
Each knives ring will be built once you reach the next power level (every time you reach the next power level you have to release the old rings in order to build the next layer). These rings automatically release themselves if you get hit, bomb or flashbomb. I dont recommend releasing them occasionally, but it can be useful if the enemy is at low health.
The little Suzumis will always aim at possibly the nearest enemy regardless of focusing or not, though they spread wider when you unfocus.
I guess thats all about what I feel about Suzumi.
Suzumi can be rather tricky to use but once you get the hang of it, it can be pretty fun.

A season focuses on Caron and Burrows.
Huh, so thats the reason why Burrows like that.
Is it just me or Caron doesnt seem to be any different from the past, although the characters claim that hes changed?
As a devil, Caron has to always act ruthless. He will do anything he can to fulfill the contract so that it would end like what he wants.
If you look at Noel again, at first, hes like that to her.
Seems like having the same goal makes him warmer to Noel.
Oh well.

Noel has gone too far now. Pulling her back would end up ruin her.
I have a feeling that Jillian has some kinda ulterior motive, but still.
Ugh, really. If her reason is truly that, I would put her at the bottom of my favourite characters list.
Do you think Burrows would leave her alone if she retreats, after knowing all those things about him?
No. He would try to kill her. Again.

Since Im following vgperson on Twitter, I saw this game right away then. But just now I decided to play it!
The concept is like The Witchs House; basically you getting stuck in a strange house, though with the introduction of the battle mechanics (which makes the game less scary imo) and characters who will accompany you, Id say this game is original enough.
The artstyle makes them all looks so suspiciously crazy. I really like Ashes expressions!
Note that this is a blind run. I intend to do it blind first, so dont get mad if I miss something. Ill come back later to get all the endings though.

Just kidding. The reason I stopped the PM playthrough is because my old save file is in my old computer and its now, ya know, broken. And I find replaying all that stuff a bit too tedious.

I figured out your trick after seeing the mess of meat chunks you left in Noels room.
I learn from experience that you do not simply believe in a headless corpse. I was rather confused when the presumably Ashe was found. No one, in all the previous routes, has a motive to kill Ashe.
And the bloody message. Saying things like Im the witch Dorothy and all. That could only be written by either Ashe or Wilardo actually, since Noel and Sirius hold no grudge against Dorothy in order to shame her name like that.
I realized it when we found the meat chunks mess. Its a misdirection trick. The mess you saw there, is actually just one person: Sirius, with his and Ashes clothes. Gotta give it to Ashe, he sure is clever when he pulled this trick. But no trick goes through my eyes. Ashes guilty when I saw the scene.
We already know Ashe is the one who pieced everything together faster this time, his behaviors also supported it. The night before his presumed corpse was found, he talked with Noel in order to provide a reason he could be killed (since hes the only one who no one will ever kill).
All and all, I dont think being devoured and slowly digested is a fitting punishment for him. He deserves worse. The worst.
Poor Noel, youre so close. If you had suggested that you and Wilardo stayed in Claires room until morning, things would go differently.
This is actually the worst ending yet. You know it for a fact that Ashes wish cant be granted, yet hes the culprit in this case.
Ashe, this is for Claire, and Noel, too.
This is so heart-wrenching.
So close, yet... so far.

Interesting. So its not how it was happening, but how it ended. To think, Sirius was the same too.
Im talking about their happy life.
They were both living happily until something bad happened (Nicholas attack, Gramps betrayal/goodbye).
Its more like, if you have experienced happiness, when you lose it, it hurts plenty more.
Unlike the one who never got to know it, and claims to be the worst fate ever (Im talking about you Lime).

Different stories, but I can see a few consistencies.
First, Ashe is always evil.
Second, Claire always dies.
Third, the main character of their scenerio will kill Claire.
Also, calling it, Wilardos curse is Immortality. He CANT die, no matter what. Kinda realized that after seeing him defeating Ashe in such an injured state. To think, he didnt die in any endings before this.
That must be painful.
I dont know why, but the demons accepted his wish to be mortal again? Is there any negativity behind that? Maybe the fact that hes dead is negative enough.
Now that we get to see the pacts contents, it really is garbage.
Offer a heart to grant a negative wish?
Who would do that?
It seems like Noel really is that weird grostesque monster. He came to the rescue when Claires in danger, and he listened to Claire. But hang on, the Noel in Ashes scenerio told us to be wary of Wilardo, and in this scenerio hes kinda right.
Actually, be wary of everyone. Who knows if that person is a kind one or a psychopathic murderer?

Yukari herself is overpowered, like I said before.
The Shion fight was pretty easy itself. Its possible to beat her final spell card without the Fantasy Seal spam.
Still dont know why Yukari didnt know of this trick before, the swapping trick I mean. The solution is rather simple.
Ending summary: The incident was partially resolved. Joon was sent to the Myouren temple, Shion was kept at the Hakurei shrine.
