In the synth signal chain, the Amplifier is the final stage and controls the volume of your sound over time. The amplifier shapes how your sound starts, sustains, and ends; for example, it can control whether the notes in your sound are shorter and choppier, or if they are more dragged out and drone-like.
On SK2 and After Dark, the Amplifier knob is found at the top left of the unit. Turning this knob counter clockwise causes your sound to end instantly at the end of the musical note. Turning it clockwise causes the sound to linger on and slowly fade out at the end of the note.
