When legendary singer-songwriter and titan of tone Brad Paisley needed an amp to capture his distinct sonic vision, he collaborated with Dr. Z and the late Ken Fischer of Trainwreck Amps. Several one-off amps later, this meeting of the minds would ultimately birth mass production of the Z Wreck amp from Dr. Z, alongside the Z Wreck Jr. amp. Thanks to the meticulous, collaborative efforts of Dr. Z and Synergy, Synergy has painstakingly crafted a 2-channel preamp module that faithfully captures the unrivaled, edge-of-overdrive character that defined its spiritual predecessor. Synergy’s latest sonic innovation and Dr. Z’s aid in developing module’s phase inverter and zero-watt sections have led to an unprecedented re-creation of the original power amp’s influence on Paisley’s own feel and tone.
