Carleton University Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Psychology Professor Chad Danyluck explored male volleyball players' emotional connections and heart rate synchronization during warm-ups. Even though emotional sync and heart rate sync didn't directly correlate, both impacted how players and coaches rated performance.
Emotional sync made players feel like they played better, while coaches linked heart rate sync with better performance.
