The image of Baphomet contains a wealth of esoteric symbology. The image that we are all familiar with is the one presented by Eliphas Levi in his book "Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie (Dogma and Ritual of High Magic). Levi had no intention of representing the Devil, but to symbolise something far more substantial and meaningful.
