SWOT - Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission, led by NASA and the French space agency Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES), is expected to launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base in central California on Dec. 15, 2022, at 3:46 a.m. PT / 6:46 a.m. ET.
Designed to make the first-ever global survey of Earth's surface water, the Surface Water and Ocean Topography, or SWOT, satellite will collect detailed measurements of how water bodies on Earth change over time.
