Sword Rod Early is where you hold on to your gold until you hit 30K, when you get the Treasure Rod. Then, combine the Treasure Rod with the Basic Rod you start with to get the Sword Rod. It has double the pulling power meaning fish are pulled in way faster. Normally you hit the gold requirement somewhere between 26 and 31 minutes. This run got it at 14.
