As probably most of you know, I'm part of the Italian cosplay group for Legend of the Seeker and, at the end of the month, we're going to be attending the Naples Comicon.
Last Saturday, most of us reunited and we were able to reharse (some for the first time) the scenes from the show we're going to be performing at the fair.
These are some of the scenes :) Hope you enjoy!
I'm sorry it's all in Italian, but most of the dialogues are taken from the show, so you shouldn't have too much trouble understanding which scene is which ;)

Emmy Rossum rocks. Nothing more to add. I will be making A LOT of vids to her songs. The album is amazing & every song reminds me of a fandom/character/show :)
As for the vid (second in three days!!! O.O), its obviously about one of the best episodes of this show. I dont think I ever cried before on LOTS, not even for Richard & Kahlan. Broken had all the emotion & pathos from the books, as well as the look & coolness of the show. In one word: wonderful.
Tabrett was fantastic as Cara & Im really glad she joined the cast; cant wait to see more coming from her.
When I first heard it, I thought the song was perfect for Cara, but then I listened to it carefully & as I tried to pick scenes for the vid, I found it was very had. So, as my Kahlan - A Million Pieces vid, I tried to interpret the lyrics as best as possible.
Coloring/scenes: I didnt want to use B&W because this show has awesome colors, so:
x Past/memories: are more dreamy; a little blurred & have some parchment as borders.
x Present: Normal color.
It mainly follows what I think would have been Caras thoughts after the end of Broken. After meeting Richard in Reckoning her whole life has changed & she finally starts to consider herself as more than just a MordSith. Her sisters have betrayed her & she was abandoned by all but Richard (as well as Kahlan & Zedd even if less willingly). Although, she is sent away once again because of her past mistakes (killing Denee). Her real sisters family condamns her to death & her only saviour is yet again Richard. She finds out that her sisters MordSith have betrayed long before the defeat of Darken Rahl, when she was but a child, convincing her that her father had sold her to them. All she wants now, after having been granted a second (third xD) chance at life, is to be a little less MordSith & a little more Cara, the girl who couldnt even kill a fish.
No longer dying inside... - living as a MordSith, for pain & only pain... even when seeking pleasure/comfort in men.
These tears wont fall for you this time... - she is sorry for having killed her father: if in Reckoning she cried the loss of her sisters, now she cries for the destruction of her real family.
I will not be ashamed of my name, anymore... - she is not just a ruthless MordSith. She is first & foremost Cara, the girl she killed & buried along with her father, because weak & human.

VOICEOVERS -
Richard: I cant hold her much longer... run!
Cara: But I swore to serve you...
Richard: That isnt possible anymore! Get out of here now!
Richard: Cara hasnt done anything-
Kahlan: Why do you always defend her?
Richard: Just calm down...
Kahlan: You love her... dont you?
Richard: Kahlan?
Kahlan: Alright... fine.
Cara: I do care about you. There, I said it. Are you happy now?
Arthur: How can I admit that I think about her all the time? Or that I care about her more than anyone?
Cara: Im sorry I failed you.
PLOT - After Kahlan finds out Richard & Cara have feelings for each other and that they made sweet love, Richard is forced to send Cara away since Kahlan is ConDaring all over the place. But the poor Seeker is constantly thinking of getting his other girl back, who, in the meantime, decides to pay a visit to good old Prince Arthur - she had been to Camelot before. She spends the night with him and he invites her to stay, since hes always had an infatuation for her. As the time goes by, Cara realizes the court is not her place and though she likes having fun with the Prince, all she really wants is Richard.
Richard kinda feels the same way and after spending the night with Kahlan he realizes he wants to go look for Cara. He tells Kahlan he thinks Cara did nothing wrong and, at this, his supposed girlfriends snaps and starts to think he may be in love with Cara. Richard reaches Camelot, he once again makes sweet love to Cara and they decide its time to run off. But Cara isnt sure Richard loves her, while she knows Arthur does... so she tries to go back to Camelot. Richard gets to her, but Arthur catches them...
... and Cara looses both guys at the same time.
I think the rest is pretty clear, but to make sure:
- Richard marries Kahlan and realizes hes never been in love with Cara... its always been Kahlan. Oh and he becomes ruler of DHara, of course.
- Arthur marries Gwen, but they both know he will always be in love with Cara.
- Cara thinks back to the time she was with Richard and knows she loves him, but she also realizes hes always been in love with Kahlan. At that she decides to go back to Arthur and give the guy another shot when she finds out hes actually married and a pretty happy King at that.
I started thinking about this video A LONG time ago... I cant even remember when! I think it was at least last summer! It was Richard & Cara from the beginning, but I think it got Leo in it... I dont know, really, lol.
Anyway, this is the finished product! It was lots of fun to make despite the crappy ending for Cara. Poor girl... I realized that in none of my crossovers she gets the guy... and this time I was just plain cruel. Next crossover/AU Im making will be so fluffy you will all rip your eyes out because of the sappiness of it all XD Sorry, this was random. Enjoy the video and ignore me!")

Yeeeee! Finished this, finally! When I read what the challenge was about I was like: OMG what am I going to do?. I knew it was LOTS from the start though, because beside Stargate I dont know any other fandom well enough to make such a complicated video. At first it was Cara/Kahlan, then Leo/Richard, even Rahl/Richard, but I could come up with nothing. So, I said, why keep the same sex? And after my Telephone video & all the crack about girls being waaaay better than Richard in this show, I thought what would Legend of Kahlan be like?
And this is the result.
(For those of you who dont know what Im talking about: this video is for a competition we were asked to take two characters from the same fandom & switch their roles, BUT we had to keep the same storyline AND focus on both characters)
ORIGINAL STORY
23 years before the it all begins the wizard Zeddicus Zul Zorander saved the boy who, as said in prophecy, would defeat the evil tyrant Darken Rahl. Richard has lived in a place without magic ever since & when Kahlan shows up to call him to do his duty he has no idea what shes talking about. He has no idea he is the Seeker of truth, the only person who can kill Darken Rahl & free the Midlands. At first reluctant, he then joins both Kahlan, his protector, & Zedd in the journey that was his destiny all along.
MY STORY
Zedd saves a baby the night of the massacre of Brennidon (Rahl, knowing of the prophecy, sent men to kill every first born in the town), but its not Richard: its Kahlan. Kahlan is the baby destined to become Seeker of Truth. When Zedd reveals this to her, they embark on the mission to find Rahl & kill him. Richard will be her sidekick, sworn to protect her.
So, that was the main storyline, now to one more detailed:
During the journey Richard & Kahlan start falling for each other but they cant be together because of Kahlans powers, so, to avoid temptation, she leaves but she is captured by the MordSith Denna, who tortures her. Richard manages to enter the MordSith temple. He saves her & they continue the journey together (originally its Richard being captured & etc.). Between obstacles & such. In the end they find a way to kill Darken Rahl, but this means Richard has to be Confessed by Kahlan.
The video starts with Zedd POVs & then switches to Richards when Kahlan leaves & is captured by Denna.
ps. In case its not clear, the ending bit, after the songs finished, is supposed to be the switching back :P Richard *is* the Seeker after all :)
VOICEOVERS:
- Zedd: 23 years ago a great prophet spoke on his deathbed about the birth of a true Seeker. A child whose destiny would be to seek out & kill the greatest evil of all: Darken Rahl.
- Richard [to Kahlan]: I wont let anything happen to you.
- Zedd: Kahlan, Richard has feelings for you.
- Kahlan [to Richard]: This can never be.
- Denna [to Kahlan]: Youll be trained by me. Rest assured, your training will be slow & agonizing.
- Rahl: Whoever brings me the Seeker will be rewarded beyond imagining.
- Richard [to Kahlan]: The only unimaginable fate is one without you.
- Kahlan: My power is part of who I am, I tried to deny it & it only put people in danger.
- Richard: You have to confess me.
- Zedd: Are you ready?
- Kahlan: To risk destroying a soul? Why wouldnt I be ready for that?
- Richard: Its going to be alright.
NOTES:
- Kahlan is a Confessor. This means she has the power to touch somebody with a power she is born with & amplify the love this person has, so that it completely overwhelms them & they fall in love with her until she dies. The confessed cannot do anything but everything in their power to please the woman (there can be no male Confessors) they love, theyre enslaved & the reason Confessors exist is to bring justice: the confessed must tell the truth. Its a bit more complicated than that, but those are the main traits. Also, Confessors dont have to call upon their power, they hold it in all the time & release it when its necessary. Thats why Richard & Kahlan cant be together: a moment of ecstasy would break that hold & Richard would be confessed.
- The reason I didnt change the fact that Kahlan is a Confessor, its because Richard cant be one. Making him a Confessor, would imply hes evil (male Confessors are evil & killed at birth) & it wouldve changed completely the outcome of the story.
- Darken Rahl is plotting on reuniting all three Boxes of Orden, a great magical weapon that put together will give him power over everything that lives. Those are the shiny things you see every once in a while ;)
- Really proud of the manip of the Wanted poster. Sometimes Photoshop CAN be useful :P Those 2 seconds took 4hours all by themselves, lol. But there was also A LOT of masking involved :P Dont think Im ever going to do moving masks again xD")
